Welcome to Choose Jewish Memphis
YES, there ARE Jews in Memphis! Jewish Living in Memphis is easy living! Graceland, Beale Street, Delta Queen, the Peabody Ducks, the Mighty Mississippi…these and many more landmarks create a warm image of Memphis. However, few people realize the long and rich history of the Jewish community in this city.
Our Jewish community is among the larger Jewish communities in the southern U.S. and you won’t find a friendlier bunch! We have an excellent Jewish community center, outstanding Jewish day schools, and preschools, an award-winning Jewish residential nursing home and rehabilitation facility, seven synagogues, a Jewish social service agency, an active Jewish Federation, kosher dining and outstanding programs for youth and seniors.
We love the feeling of acceptance and kindness we have found in Jewish Memphis - there is so much to do and explore in this diverse city!
